Fundraising Opportunities

Compass Rose Events proven, professional, corporate event team has designed and delivered safe, successful, memorable company events for the nation’s elite corporations since 1985. Today, we’re the nation’s largest corporate event provider—and the best.

Compass Rose Events provides opportunities for groups to make their next fundraising event a smashing success. We are always seeking groups interested in raising money for their organization by partnering with us to staff events in your area. If your group is interested in signing up to staff an event with Compass Rose Events, please send an inquiry to our event staffing team.

  • DONATION & BENEFIT
In exchange for the help of the volunteer group, a donation will be made to their organization. The amount will vary depending upon the requirements for the particular event (i.e. event size, duration, and number of activities), but averages about $2,000. The event staffing experience promotes team work among the group volunteers and is a quick money maker for the volunteer group (“sure beats selling or washing things” as many staffing group leaders have said).
  • REQUIREMENTS
Unfortunately, we cannot accept volunteers under 15 years of age and they must be at least 19 to work in the grill area. It is strictly prohibited to consume alcohol or use tobacco products. We expect volunteer groups to arrive on time and in full number, and that no one will leave the event site until all duties have been fulfilled. We also expect ample adult supervision within the group (at least 25% adults) and that all volunteers will present themselves in a friendly and professional manner.
  • WHAT TO EXPECT
Compass Rose Events works with hundreds of groups a year. Safety and professionalism are extremely important to us. Volunteers work alongside Compass Rose Events onsite Event Managers who explain everything and guide and train each group.   Most event work is physical and there will be some heavy or awkward equipment. The onsite event managers are trained in facilitating a safe and efficient environment for the volunteers.
  • EVENT SET UP
During set up the group will help unload event equipment from the delivery trucks, set up the equipment and decorate the event site. This includes setting up tents, inflatables, games and food service areas. the supervision of the on-site Event Managers. Most events are set up in the afternoon the day before the event.
  • DAY OF THE EVENT
About two hours before the event begins, the Event Managers will meet with the volunteer group to assign volunteers where they are needed, such as in food, game booths, children’s activities, concession areas, etc. Events typically last four to six hours and the volunteers will be provided with a T-shirt, a meal and drinks. After the event ends all of the equipment will need to be packed up and loaded into the delivery trucks.
  • WHAT TO WEAR
Most events are outdoors and the group members will be on their feet for most of the day. Wear clean shorts or long pants/jeans depending on forecasted weather conditions. A T-shirt will be provided for volunteers to wear during the event run. Wear closed toed athletic shoes such as tennis shoes or hiking boots. Flip-flops and sandals are not allowed. Work gloves, sun block and bug repellant are recommended. It is best to leave your personal items and electronics at home. There will not be any place to store bags or purses.
