Sarah Koriath, Director of Employee Engagement/Administration
With 15 years of experience in the corporate event industry, Sarah has a thorough understanding of all aspects of Compass Rose Events and everything it takes behind the scenes to ensure successful events and happy clients. She assists throughout our company with employee relations, branding, standardization, creating efficiencies and improving the technology and tools we use to manage our processes and information.
Sarah is a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, OH and hold a bachelor’s degree in theater/stage management with a minor in business administration. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys hiking with her husband and dogs , cooking and traveling.

John Kohlburn, Training and Recruiting Manager
With a career history showing twenty-five years experience in education and training, John joined the Compass Rose Team in January 2012 as the Training and Safety Coordinator. Coming from the University of South Florida, where he served as the Director of Professional Development, he brings expertise in delivering quality training solutions for industry and non-profit organizations. John’s credentials include a degree in Education from Southern Illinois University, experience training on processes, methodologies and safety, as well as a list of speaking engagements explaining innovative training techniques.
John is an accomplished visual artist. He spends most of his spare time with his partner David exploring the local farmer’s market or in the studio painting.

Laura Duteau, Contract Administration
Laura worked for a fortune 500 company in the electronics and computer field for 15 years with a focus on sales and marketing support, event planning and contract administration before finding her way to the corporate events world. She now has over 10 years of industry experience supporting the nation’s premier event providers.
A native Texan, Laura now resides in Georgia where she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
