Event Chefs

Event Chefs oversee all catering and buffet style food service on the event site and assist as needed with entertainment and logistical aspects of the event. An Event Chef’s responsibilities include on-site food preparation, event staff management, safety and sanitation control, food inventory and distribution, problem solving and on-site vendor coordination. Kitchen or catering experience is highly desirable. Compass Rose Events requires Event Chefs to become ServSafe® certified during training.

We are seeking outgoing, energetic team-players, ideally with leadership, hospitality and/or food service skills. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, a licensed driver and willing to drive 24’ delivery trucks. They will interact with our corporate customers and supervise a staff of 20-100+. Each week they’ll travel to a new location to oversee employee and/or family style events with an average of 1000+ attendees. This is a seasonal job with training beginning in May. Weekend work is a must as most corporate events happen on Saturdays and requires travel out of town with an overnight stay on a weekly basis.
